On Sunday 21st October 2012 MTX successfully installed a new seminar suite building at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool.
MTX are delighted to have been appointed main contractor to deliver a Modular Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit for the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust at their Glenfield Hospital site.
After successfully achieving the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standard last year, MTX has now set its targets on gaining the ISO 14001 Environmental Accreditation by early 2013.
“The extent, scale and scope of the (90-phase) project is clearly substantial. In this first phase, MTX must take great credit for the standard of its work, for its excellent planning and liaison with us as main contractor and for the clam way in which it went about complex contract delivery”
‘Modernisation and future proof’ project working with Laing O’Rourke for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board as part of a 90-phase £89.9 million redevelopment programme of facilities at the North Wales Hospital.
“Given the technical and challenging nature of the lift, and the critical environment that surrounded the site, to complete a milestone event without any major issues or impact on external parties is a credit to all involved”
“The MTX team communicated well with myself and my colleague and were always approachable for any queries we had. They fully appreciated the need to restrict disruption to the existing theatres that were in close proximity to the new build, this made the whole project easy to manage from a clinical perspective. Despite limited footprint in which to build our new theatres, they are spacious, light and airy and the staff enjoy working in them. All thanks to MTX and our Trust Project Manager”
In Spring 2012 MTX were appointed by Laing O’Rourke to undertake the design and build of a new Modular Mortuary on a greenfield site at Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales.
“Staff using the new theatres have been very positive about them.”
“We are sure that patients will be impressed when they see the theatres.”
