MTX are delighted to hand over the Resus Ward of the new Stoke Mandeville A&E Department one week ahead of schedule allowing the Trust to open for patients on Tuesday 6th March 2013.

MTX were appointed as main contractor in September 2012 to extend the Accident and Emergency Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The new 665m² extension, built using the latest off-site construction methods, was delivered to site in mid-December last year. Since then the MTX project team have been working closely with the Trust to try to complete and handover the Resus Ward one week ahead of schedule, a target MTX is delighted to announce they’re achieved.

The rest of the new A&E extension will be handed over to the Trust on Thursday 7th March (3 days earlier than programmed), which means that the entire scheme will be completed in just 11 weeks.
