On 18th December 2013, MTX were appointed by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to supply, install and commission a new modular Endoscopy Decontamination Unit.

This presents an exciting new opportunity for MTX as this is a new Client, Hospital site and Trust. The new building will be installed above and around the existing Building 34, Physiotherapy Unit Gymnasium, whilst retaining both, this unit and the surrounding buildings at the Bradford Royal Infirmary site.

The project involves the demolition of 2 existing buildings (patient toilet and waste stores – both single storey brick constructed buildings), diversion of the existing and provision of new drainage around the proposed new building, construction of new footings and foundations. Installation of a new steel structure and finally installation of a 4 storey modular construction building above the existing gymnasium. At this time it is intended that the top floor will be fitted out as a compliant decontamination facility for Endoscopes and the 2 floors below will be left as vacant units for the Trust use.

The building is scheduled to be delivered first week in May 2014 with completion targeted on the 28th July 2014.
