Utilising Modern Methods of Construction MTX delivered a 3 storey ward block to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in just under 1 year. The use of brick slip and curtain walling allowed the new facility to match the exterior of the existing wards and linkway corridors were constructed between the two, providing a seamless flow between departments.
The ward block houses a 32 bed Acute Medical Unit (AMU), 33 bed Adult Stroke Unit (ASU) and 33 bed High Dependency Unit (HDU) in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, during which the project was successfully delivered, ensuring the Trust made use of their new facility in the quickest time possible.
