MTX are delighted to confirm they’ve recently been awarded two separate modular building contracts for the Besti Cadwaladr University Health Board. The completed contracts will supply the Health Board with 2 new permanent ultra clean operating theatre suites to help them treat more patients by increasing their orthopaedic theatre capacity across the two hospitals.
The first project is the delivery of a single modular Operating Theatre for Wrexham Maelor Hospital. This permanent modular building installation, which has a scheduled completion date for the end of January 2012, will be positioned on stilts so that it meets the existing hospital building at first floor level.
The second operating theatre installation, due for completion by the end of December 2011, will be installed at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and is expected to be a particularly challenging modular building project with one half of the new building being neatly positioned on the roof of the existing hospital and the other half on a steel gantry.
