UK Care Homes see an increase in demand

2016 has seen a huge increase in demand for Care Homes across the UK.

At present the Care Home sector amasses to 13% of the residential construction market, with scope to grow as the Government is urged to shift their focus from assisting first time buyers to caring for and housing the elderly.

UK hospitals can see more elderly patients through their doors than young or mature adults. This can often lead to bed shortages and strains on NHS resources. Research from the Hospital 2 Home organisation, launched by Care and Support Minister Norman Lamb, shows that elderly patients who receive support and after hospital care are less likely to be readmitted in the weeks after they have been discharged. This results in numerous positive outcomes from older people benefiting from better health and wellbeing, to less pressure on the NHS and improved management of their social care budget.

We understand that the high demand for more Care Homes is as costly as it is imperative. MTX can offer an offsite modular construction solution that is both unbeatable on speed of delivery and cost guaranteed.
